This jeans came from a former lover, back when the relationship still held together. Later, both the denim and the bond tore in the same places. They’ve been worn through cities and states: Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and countless American roads in between. During the preparation of a Pussy Riot art exhibition, these jeans were there. Paint from the artworks still stains the fabric. Not as decoration, but as evidence. Upcycled, reworked, and carried forward by hand. Vintage denim with a documented past.
